Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy
Musculoskeletal assessment and treatment consists of a hands-on assessment to diagnose and provide a treatment plan for injuries, asymmetries, and pre/post operative conditions. Through a combination of discussion of post assessment findings, education, therapeutic exercise prescription, and manual therapy/conjunct therapies such as DRY NEEDLING, our goal is to restore your optimal level of functioning and help you reach your goals.
Vestibular Therapy
Vestibular Therapy consists of a thorough history and examination of your vestibular system. Assessment may include cranial nerve testing, vision screening, oculomotor testing, smooth pursuit and saccade testing, VOR testing, and BPPV testing. Education of findings, treatment planning and therapeutic exercises are included in Vestibular Therapy.
Common conditions treated include:
- BPPV (vertigo)
- Dizziness
- Visual Disturbance (Gaze instability)
- Imbalance/Fall Risk
Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy
Pelvic Health Physiotherapy consists of a global assessment to determine what may be contributing to your concerns. If your pelvic floor is the main driver, your assessment may involve an internal assessment. An internal pelvic examination is the gold standard to fully understand the function of the muscles, nerves and organs that are causing your dysfunction(s). Follow up appointments consist of a review of your current condition (which can consist of an internal re-examination), and treatment (which can consist of education, manual therapy, dry needling, therapeutic exercise prescription).
Common conditions treated include:
- Urinary Incontinence (bladder leakage)
- Bladder Urgency
- Bowel and Chronic Constipation
- Pelvic Organ Prolapse
- Pregnancy (prevention and treatment)
- Post-Partum (prevention and treatment)
