Pelvic Health Physiotherapy consists of a global assessment to determine what may be contributing to your concerns. If your pelvic floor is the main driver, your assessment may involve an internal assessment. An internal pelvic examination is the gold standard to fully understand the function of the muscles, nerves and organs that are causing your dysfunction(s). Follow up appointments consist of a review of your current condition (which can consist of an internal re-examination), and treatment (which can consist of education, manual therapy, dry needling, therapeutic exercise prescription).
Common conditions treated include:
- Urinary Incontinence (bladder leakage)
- Bladder Urgency
- Bowel and Chronic Constipation
- Pelvic Organ Prolapse
- Pregnancy (prevention and treatment)
- Post-Partum (prevention and treatment)
